B's Quilt

I have decided that I want to give my husband his quilt for his birthday in the first few days of June. That gives me about 2 and a half months to piece it together, quilt it, bind it, and wrap it up. That's not very long...for me anyway. With the majority of my family coming to visit for the month of May (and school getting out then), it really only gives me the rest of this month and April. So I've been busy cutting and sewing. This is what I've got so far, what do you think? I need to sew all this together, but that should go quickly. It's the rest that I'm nervous about. I haven't figured out how I want to quilt this yet. Any suggestions?

  1. It looks way better all laid out! I really like it! We have to come up with manly looking FMQ. I will have to think about it!

  2. I think it looks fab! Very manly. Straight line quilting is about the only thing I think is manly. I'd follow the lines of the herringbone.

  3. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. More straight line quilting...le sigh.
