An old WIP finished

I started these pinwheels a long time ago and finally got around to making a quilt with them.  It's not my favorite but I learned a lot. I really need to square up my blocks even if it takes FOREVER.  I couldn't decide on what color to use for the quilting, I now know I don't like green. I like neutral colors best.  Small quilts go together so fast and are such a nice gift, even if they aren't my favorite colors.

  1. Cute! Love the orange binding! And i think the green thread totally works :)
I've learned my lesson about squaring up as well! My first HST quilt was terrible, at the time i didn't know that i was supposed to square them all up. I just thought my amazeballs sewing would be perfect and when i stitched them all together they would all line up! So did not happen.

    1. Hilarious! I thought if I cut them exactly accurate they would all line up! Man have I learned a lot since then.

  2. I think the green thread is fine, but I'm with you on the neutrals. Your points look pretty great in the pictures. Squaring up is one of those quilting necessary evils. blech!
