*Almost forgot! My friend has opened her own sewing studio recently, and she's giving away some Gracie Girl on her new blog! Go give her some love, would ya?*
It's grey and cold this morning. I miss my hubby who's away on business this week. The silver lining of that cloud is that it's easier for me to get projects done at night. No distracting husband who wants to snuggle and watch painfully cheesy Hallmark movies = three zip pouches finished.

I used a mash-up of Noodlehead's tutorial and Jedi Craft Girl's, depending on what I wanted.
This was my first time working with coated cotton. I didn't top stitch because that seemed like a bad idea. Other than being a little puffy, I liked how it turned out. I used no interfacing. Inside is some Denyse Schmidt Hope Valley and AGF Oval Elements.
This is from Nested Owls by AdornIt The red floral is from Riley Blake's Flutter, and inside is Verona. Since this one is quilted, I liked Jedi Craft girls trick for reducing bulk in the seams.
I shortened the zipper because I don't like the big floppy zipper on the noodlehead pouch. Next time I'll leave it just a touch longer. This used a Joel Dewberry print form Aviary and one of my favorite Moda prints. It's by Sanae from their older Oh MY! line. I bought two+ yards on super clearance and I have nothing but scraps left.
How cute are these tags from my LQS?
These are intended for two nieces and a cousin. I think they are the perfect thing to tuck a gift card into!
XOXO- Pinspot
PS- IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS IN FIREFOX: Do you have trouble seeing the photos? There should be seven, but some aren't showing up in Firefox. This happens for me on other blogs, too. Anyone know why?

ReplyDeleteCute zips!! Love your fabric combos. The paper cut snowflakes are so pretty too! I wonder if I have time to make a bunch of pouches to tuck in gift cards just because I want to use some of those ribbon tags!!!
