Old Appliqué Crib Quilt

We saw a fabulous quilt today at the American History Museum in DC.  Ruth Jones Black of Dadeville, Alabama began it when her son was born in 1932.  It took her TWENTY YEARS to complete!  When it was finished, it was big enough to fit a twin bed.   Here's a billion crummy iPhone photos of it.  Sorry about the glare, it's behind glass.  I took close-ups of my favorite animals.  I LOVE the fabrics she used.  Check out her neatly even appliqué stitches.
