There's a shop hop going on in my neck of the woods. Lucky for me, there is no shortage of fabric shops in Utah! The hops are a big deal. This one had 17 shops along a 100 mile stretch of I-15. I participated last spring, but didn't make it that far. If you go to all the shops you can register for some pretty incredible prizes. Like, a couple of $1500 sewing machines! Plus there are giveaways, prizes, and discounts at each shop.
I spent Wednesday afternoon going to a few of the shops in my immediate area. I also stopped in at a store not on the hop, only to discover that they are closing because the owners are retiring. They had a huge selection, so it's a shop I'll really miss. Here's what I picked up:
I planned on hitting up some of the shops south of me on Thursday afternoon, but when I started pairing the new fabrics with things in my stash, I decided it would be more fun to actually SEW instead of buy more fabric. Ever had that dilemma? It was a tough choice, and I debated about it all day! Isn't that ridiculous?!?
Now I've got a pretty stack of economy blocks that need some trimming, and a whole pile more to make.
After the last swap, another participant and I discovered we admired each other's blocks and had similar taste, so we decided to do a side swap with each other. Some of these are for her. HI GINA! Gina is a paper-piecing wiz. Check out her recent finish here! I adore the sleeping beauty block.
Later today, I'm headed up north to visit Jenni! HOORAY! I can't wait to see my big sissy and her darling girlies. (And Seth, too.)
Hope you have something fun planned this weekend. :)

If that is the most difficult question of the day, it's a GOOD day. :)
